Special Event: Autumn Festival -- Saturday, October 8
The annual October Autumn Festival returns to Wellesley Island State Park on Saturday, October 8th. The festival is an annual tradition in the 1000 Islands and popular with young families.
Scarecrow-making contests, pressed apple cider, fresh donuts, folk music, animal and bird shows and more make the Autumn Festival the perfect way to enjoy the reds, yellows and oranges of fall in the 1000 Islands. More than eight miles of walking trails are open for public use as well.
The festival is held at the Minna Anthony Common Nature Center at Wellesley Island State Park. Go to the park and follow the signs. The festival is 10 am-4 pm.
For more information, contact the Nature Center at 315-482-2479.
